Max-Viz Awarded Augusta 109 EVS STC
Portland, Oregon (November9,2005) Max-Viz President and Chief Executive Officer Jim Tuttle announced today award of STC Number SR02150NY for installation of Max-Viz EVS-1000 Infra Red Enhanced Visions Systems on Agusta Aerospace Corporation A-109E Helicopters.
This latest Rotor Wing STC, said Tuttle, brings the total number of rotor wing airframes certified for Max-Viz EVS systems to 12, double the number this time last year.
Rotor wing market activity for our EVS-1000 System is phenomenal. This System provides an enhanced level of situational awareness and safety for the pilot during operations in low visibility conditions such as night, brown outs, smog, and haze, particularly during low altitude maneuvering in unfamiliar terrain.
Max-Viz designs and markets the smallest, most reliable and affordable Enhanced Vision Systems for aircraft. The systems use real-time infrared sensors, signal processing, and a cockpit display to provide flight crews with actual images of terrain, runways, taxiways, aircraft and other potential obstacles during poor visibility conditions such as light fog, haze, smoke, precipitation and darkness.
